recieving baby crib and few other items from a stranger?

Someone i know knows someone that’s moving away and wants to give away their baby crib and few other items for free or for a small amount of cash and told me i should come pick it up since i’m expecting. I dunno this person at all…a complete stranger but willing to give away their stuff. Should i bring them a gift or something when i go to pick up the things? If so, what should i buy??
Why does my baby spin in her crib?

My baby is 3 months old, but she’s been doing this since she was 2 months old. I put her to bed in the crib with her head pointing up towards the mobile, but when I wake her up she is either sideways or has her head pointing down in the crib.
Does she spin around all night because she is uncomfortable, or is this just something babies do? She is over 2 feet long now so she ends up sleeping with her feet up in the air leaning on the edge of the crib. It is cute, but it doesn’t look comfy. Is this normal?
On Sims 2 PC I can’t buy a refrigerator or find a baby crib!?

I recently began putting my 7 month old daughter in her playpen in her room for naps and nighttime sleep, just to try to train her to sleep in it. This is because she refused to sleep in it before and wouldn’t nap at my mom’s when being babysat or when my husband and I would take her places. After the first day she caught on quick and has been sleeping in it for a whole week. She actually seems to sleep better in it than in her crib! With her crib she had been trying to yank the bumper off, and if I take the bumper off she smacks her head on the rails and gets her legs and arms stuck in the rails. Plus, she loses her pacificer through the rails and screams bloody murder until I come back in the room and give it to her. Having her in the playpen has eliminated these problems of the crib. Has anyone else had their baby sleep in a playpen? I worry that it may not be very comfy for her, but she seems to be sleeping great in it this past week. What do you think?
How dangerous is it to put a stuffed animal in the crib with the baby to help her sleep….?

I’ve struggled with my baby for about 1 month, she’s almost 5 months old, she wakes up a lot and it is driving me crazy! I figured one of the reasons why she wakes up is because she misses me, so I put in her crib this caterpillar that I used to sleep with, that way she feels there’s “someone” next to her, and it also has my scent, so I thought I’d give it a try, just because I was a total zombie from lack of sleep (it was a desperate measure) She’s sleeping a little better now, but I worry a lot because I’ve heard that you shouldnt put anything in the crib for risk of SIDS…

Trying to save some money and the environment too, so I am going to consignment shops and thrift stores for clothes and such, but I would like to buy the crib/carseat and a few things brand new. Any suggestions? I’ve been to Target and walmart. Can anyone think of other places to go?

I went and saw Paranormal Activity 2 the other night and I have one question, how did they get the baby to be stuck sideways on the crib like that? Was it all just animated with a computer?
