Take it back and get a drop side crib Because it will save your back from strain and arms.

Mine Does not have drop down, but I do not think its Difficult to get the baby. Because the reason is by the time you have the mattress on the lowest setting, the baby is Able to sit up and pull up to standing on His or her own, I know you’re Rarely Reaching all the way down. During the Times When All They can do is lie there you have the mattress on the Highest setting to know that’s not a reach at all.

It depends on how long your arms are, and how tall you are. A problem for me.

I have a really expensive drop-down crib, my baby is 11 months, I have never used this feature. Also I’m only 5’2.

When the baby is small you will be fine Because The mattress will be raised but the baby gets bigger and When you have to move the mattress to the lowest position it May Be Harder on you. HIM HIM picking up and putting down will be harder with no drop-down rail. I would definitely get one That has the drop-down side.

If you are fairly short, had a c-section or Any Other Such problems as minor shoulder issues, lower or upper back pain. . . not drop down crib is not a great idea. May you have more problems with the crib than it is worth. I would highly suggest buying a new crib That has to drop down side.

Both my husband and I fell in love with a crib That Did not have to drop down side. But in all honesty, we Specifically for One That Looked fired. We’d Heard horror stories about kids who’d gotten stuck in it or fallen out side Was not Because The latched properly, and Those kinds of cribs Were not just as stable as what we wanted. We did not want one-on rollers either, ours is solid wood and firm as a rock (or big slabs of wood since that’s Exactly what it is). It has large, sturdy feet and thick slabs and is not in the slightest bit flimsy. Ever seen a crib with a drop down side sturdy That Was That? I have not. And let me tell you, I have two very active boys have figured out That Would the drop-down contraption, or Trying died. My oldest only has to see something done before ounce he’s got it figured out (he can lock and unlock all the doors and get past all the baby-proofed stuff). As long as the crub has adjustable heights, you’ll be fine. You can keep the baby at the Highest setting until about 5-6 months When they’re starting to push up / sit ups, and After That, The Baby Will Be Able to sit or stand up and you will not have to reach in to. Besides, as long as you still have one good arm, that’s really all it takes anyway. Us mom’s Seem to get really good at doing things one-armed.

Actually Having a drop down on a crib side is much Especially if you have cutting easier back or shoulder problems. Even though I am tall I still found it much better than to reach over the railing HAVING. I Think You Should Listen to your dad. I’m sure the store where the crib from Purchased Would you exchange it or refund your money.

It `s all on what you want. . . I have one with drop down feature and I do use it Because I `m 6 months pregnant and it` s Easier to get my 9 month old son in and out. I don `t agree with the person above said That They Are not sturdy. . Mine is very sturdy and I feel 100% safe with HIM in it. If you know some one who has a baby try getting him / her out of there without dropping the crib side down and see how it feels for your back. Good Luck and congrats!

Is not picking up the problem in its the Babe Laying Down ounces he / she fallen asleep. . . . . When my little one got big enough to roll over and pull up Himself, i had to lower the matress. . . putting HIM down was soo apologetic and straining. . and I’d literally have to let fall His butt 3 inches and then slide my hand off HIM. . . Usually Would he wake up on impact and I’d have to repete the process over n over. . . . Gave it my bad lower back pain HAVING always with my back to lift. . . It Might look nice even tho the crib really needs to be function over form
