Does not having a drop down side on a crib make it harder to get baby out?

I went crib shopping today and picked out the one I wanted. I really like it and so does my husband. But then my dad got me second guessing myself because it does not have a drop down side. I was in a car accident a few years ago and have some minor shoulder issues and he is worried that not having a side that drops down is going to be a problem. He’s concerned I’ll have to reach in too far to pick the baby up.
So for those of you who have cribs without a drop down side – is this a problem for you? Do you notice you have to strain at all to pick up the baby? I can’t decide what to do now.
When should I start having my baby sleep in her crib?

My baby is almost a month old and she is sleeping in a bassanet in our room right now. When should she start sleeping in her crib? I don’t want her to get so used to our room and not be able to sleep in her room…
I put her in her crib during the day when shes sleeping and she does fine, but at night its like she knows shes not in our room.
i would love for her to sleep in her room at night because when she moves around a lot and makes her little noises i think shes awake and then i actually wake her up.
i have moniters so i will be able to hear her..

I am living in an apportment.I am having 2 months old baby.In my appartment I am having plenty of cockroaches.I did more than 10 times pets control during my pregnancy. Now today i saw two cockroaches in my baby’s crib.I was shocked?plz anyone tell me how to protect my baby frm the cockroaches? Does It halm my baby?
