I used the Serta mattress They sell at walmart. I think it was around $ 40. It held up really well and she slept good on it. She even used it in her toddler bed. Rather I would have Had an organic mattress for her, but I could not afford that.

Sealy is a cheaper alternative. The Sealy Perfect Rest Crib Mattress costs a little over $ 70. It still costs a lot but it is cheaper than the Colgate Classic. Kolcraft was rated highly by parents who Also have bought them. It costs about $ 60. These are great brands to choose from.
